The inspiration for Viveros Resort and Club began as an idea in the mind of the company’s visionary leader, Michel Soutiran. Michel’s passion for flying led him on a journey to find a private island capable of having a runway and its own airport, with ample room to add amenities that would make it a complete vacation destination; amenities such as a world-class marina, championship golf, a luxurious beach club and as much oceanfront as possible so that all residents could own a view of water. His search literally took him all over the world--through parts of Europe, the Caribbean, into Mexico and through Latin America. And finally to a spot 40 miles off the coast of Panama, where this lush, tropical strip of paradise cradled by the waters of the Pacific would provide the perfect opportunity to create the most unique island retreat in the world. With painstaking attention to detail and environmental integrity, Soutiran and the Viveros Resort and Club team have set out to redefine island living in the archipelago of the Pearl Islands.

Joined by his partners from France and Luxembourg, Soutiran and his team, Viveros Resort and Residences, S.A., have ensured the sustainability of the Viveros Resort and Club vision by acquiring the land, free of any debt, and investing millions into state of the art infrastructure, including water, sewer, electric and high speed internet. With amenities already under construction such as the only marina in the Pearl Islands, the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, the oceanfront Beach Club and the completion of phase one of the airport and several estate homes overlooking the Pacific, Viveros Resort and Club is well on its way to becoming the premiere choice for private island living.
